Akbar Money Changer Sdn Bhd (hereinafter known as AMCSB) was formed in a year 1994 which was based at Plaza Putra, Dataran Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur and were licensed under the Exchange Act 1953 issued by Bank Negara Malaysia. It was then incorporated in year 2002.

In year 2012, AMCSB were merged with Q-Remit Sdn Bhd to be classified as Class A and Principal License holder by Bank Negara Malaysia under the MSB Act 2012 which enables AMCSB to appoint agents and conduct remittance together with money exchange business.
